San Francisco has once again lost a game that they were capable of winning; I am so frustrated that I wonder why they are even my favorite team. They were heralded as one of the most improved teams this season and all they have proved is that whatever Head Coach Mike Nolan instituted is not working.
I am sorry in the past for shifting the blame to rookie Offensive Coordinator Jim Hostler- he’s new at this and shouldn’t accept blame for the 49ers struggles. It is the bad decision-making at the Head Coach position and I would not be surprised if Nolan gets canned, even if the 49ers find a way to break even (8-8). Other than that, the offensive numbers were alright but not downright impressive; Frank Gore under-performed and Alex Smith barely completed half of his passes.
The only bright spot, for the 49ers, was TE Vernon Davis for his TD catch and 72 yds receiving- hopefully this will continue on this season. Hopefully, the 49ers can take example from this game on what lies ahead this season and they can do something substantial to rise up and be the contenders they were heralded to be.
