My oh my, what a pitiful display the San Francisco 49ers put on in the Meadowlands; I am horrified to claim them as my favorite team. There were times where I felt that the third-string QB Shaun Hill would produce better results than Trent Dilfer and maybe even RB Michael Robinson, former Penn State QB, could shine in that position. I am very impressed with the Giants this season, they have risen from the doldrums and claimed their place as one of the top teams in the NFC.
When Osi Umenyiora returned that fumble 75 yds for a touchdown is when I finally lost hope for any comeback. This game was full of a lot of quirks and some of them include a blocked punt that resulted in a safety for the Niners and San Franciso going for a two-point conversion with little time left. This game sure was interesting and I hope this depleted 49ers team will wake up and realize they need to play better- much better!
