I decided to have the spotlight on the person who has a lot of influence on the team, especially Alex Smith. Ever since he came on in 2006, he has been a guide and back-up to Smith, he has been a great mentor to Alex Smith. He thinks like a Head Coach and I hope someday he will have that position. 2005: (With Cleveland)
• Started first 11 games before missing final five games with a nagging knee injury.
• Completed 199-of-333 passes for 2,321 yards with 11 touchdowns and 12 interceptions for a 76.9 QB rating. His 59.8% completion percentage (199-of-333) matched a career-high (1999, 146-of-244, 59.8%).
• Started vs. Cincinnati (9-11) and was 26-of-43 for 278 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.
• Named AFC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK vs. Green Bay (9-18) after completing 21-of-32 passes for 336 yards and three touchdowns in a 26-24 win over the Packers. 336 yards passing was second highest in career and fifth game to top 300 yards passing.

• Earned first start of season filling in for injured starter Matt Hasselbeck vs. Miami (11-21) and led club to a 24-17 win after completing 14-of-28 passes for 196 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.
• Started for second time in place of Hasselbeck vs. Arizona (12-26) and completed 10-of-26 passes for 128 yards.
2003: (With Seattle)
• Saw action in five games as back-up to Matt Hasselbeck.
• Completed 4-of-8 attempts for 31 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
• Played at Arizona (9-14) and vs. Detroit (11-16).
• Relieved Matt Hasselbeck (shoulder) one play in overtime at Baltimore (11-23) and threw an incomplete pass.
• Saw time late vs. Cleveland on (11-30).
• Completed 2-of-3 passes for 11 yards vs. Arizona (12-21).
• Recipient of the 2003 Steve Largent Award and ED BLOCK COURAGE AWARD given to one player on each team who displays courage in overcoming injury or hardship.
2002: (With Seattle)
• Started six games after entering the season as the club’s starter.
• Completed 94-of-168 passes for 1,182 yards with four touchdowns and six interceptions.
• Suffered a sprained right MCL (knee) in the second quarter of first preseason game vs. Indianapolis (8-10) and was sidelined remainder of training camp. Was forced to miss season opener at Oakland (9-8) due to injury.
• Completed 29-of-47 passes for CAREER-HIGH 352 yards in first game back to action vs. Arizona (9-15) at Qwest Field’s inaugural game. Marked Seahawks first 300-yard passing effort since QB Warren Moon passed for 409 vs. Oakland (10-26-97).
• Completed 13-of-28 passes for 222 yards and one touchdown vs. Minnesota (9-29) on ESPN’s Sunday Night Football. Touchdown pass to RB Shaun Alexander covered 80 yards, which marked a career-long touchdown pass and third-longest in team history.
• Passed for 232 yards at St. Louis (10-20) on eight completions with one touchdown and two interceptions. Completed 79-yard touchdown pass to WR Koren Robinson before setting club record with an 83-yard connection with Robinson that ended up at Rams two-yard line.
• Sustained torn Achilles early in second quarter at Dallas on (10-27). Placed on injured reserve (10-29).
2001: (With Seattle)
• Played in seven games, starting four as backup to Matt Hasselbeck.
• Completed 73-of-122 passes for 1,014 yards, seven touchdowns, four interceptions and a 92.0 QB rating.
• First action came at Oakland (9-30), subbing for an injured Matt Hasselbeck (groin), but was in for only three plays before leaving with a concussion. Completed both attempts for 49 yards, including a 54-yarder to Darrell Jackson on the play he suffered the injury.
• Started the following two games vs. Jacksonville (10-7) and vs. Denver (10-14). Completed 15-of-23 passes for 219 yards, one touchdown and an interception for a 92.5 rating vs. Jacksonville and completed 12-of-18 passes for 110 yards vs. Denver.
• Replaced Hasselbeck in the second half at Washington (11-4) and connected with WR Darrell Jackson on a 46-yard scoring strike.
• Started the final two games of the season for Hasselbeck (shoulder) and won both. Started at San Diego (12-30) and completed 14-of-23 passes for 267 yards with three touchdowns, two coming to Jackson on 43 and 48-yard pass plays in the second quarter.
• Led Seattle to victory in season finale vs. Kansas City (1-6-02), completing season-high 22 passes on 38 attempts for 248 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
2000: (With Baltimore)
• Played in 11 games with eight starts.
• Completed 134-of-228 passes for 1,502 yards, 12 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
• Started and won all four postseason contests including Super Bowl XXXV.
• Completed 35-of-73 attempts for 590 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.
• Underwent arthroscopic surgery on left meniscus (9-19) and returned as third quarterback vs. Cincinnati (9-24).
• Made first start for Ravens in 9-6 loss vs. Pittsburgh (10-29).
• Threw three touchdowns in a 27-7 win at Cincinnati (11-5) and completed 23-of-34 passes for 244 yards.
• Threw for 281 yards and completed 23-of-36 passes at Tennessee (11-12).
• Completed 18-of-24 passes for 242 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions vs. Dallas (11-19).
• Completed 9-of-14 passes for 130 yards and one touchdown in 21-3 Wild Card win vs. Denver (12-31).
• Completed 5-of-16 passes for 117 yards in the 24-10 AFC Divisional Playoff win at Tennessee (1-7-01).

1999: (With Tampa Bay)
• Started first 10 games, missing remainder of season with a fractured clavicle.
• Finished season with 146 completions on 244 attempts for 1,619 yards, with 11 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
• Set CAREER HIGH with an 83.3 pct. completion rate in a 13-10 win vs. Denver (9-26) and was 15-of-18 for 135 yards, including four-straight completions on the opening drive.
• Threw two touchdowns in 19-5 win at Philadelphia (9-19).
• Connected on 25-of-39 attempts for 301 yards with two touchdowns and an interception vs. Minnesota (10-3).
• Completed 16-of-27 passes for 121 yards vs. Chicago (10-24). Added a 28-yard scramble in the second quarter set up one of Tampa Bay’s two field goals.
• Threw three touchdowns at New Orleans (11-7) and completed 15-of-20 passes for 227 yards.
• Moved into second place on Tampa Bay’s all-time passing list vs. Kansas City (11-14) and completed 17-of-27 passes for 270 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in a 17-10 win. Threw a 54-yard touchdown pass to WR Jacquez Green for the game-winning score.

• Started all 16 games for the fourth straight season.
• Threw for 2,729 yards, 21 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.
• Completed 225-of-429 passes for a 74.0 QB rating.
• Nine of his touchdowns covered 20 or more yards and seven were longer than 40 yards.
• Completed 17-of-25 passes for 207 yards and one touchdown before leaving game midway through third quarter with a thigh bruise at Minnesota (9-6).
• Made 50th consecutive start at Green Bay (9-13), completing 20-of-36 passes for 211 yards and one touchdown.
• Threw two touchdowns vs. Chicago (9-20) in the inaugural game at Raymond James Stadium.
• Completed season-high 21-of-31 passes for 219 yards with one touchdown and one interception vs. Carolina (10-18).
• Had season-high 294 yards passing vs. Tennessee (11-8) to surpass career 10,000-yard milestone.

1997: (With Tampa Bay)
• Became first Tampa Bay quarterback to be named to PRO BOWL and started all 16 regular season games. Was 1-1 as a starter in postseason.
• Completed 217-of-386 passes for 2,555 yards, a team-record 21 touchdown passes and 11 interceptions for an 82.8 passer rating.
• Established a team record for consecutive passes without an interception (152), snapping his old mark of 138 set in 1995.
• Led NFL in third-down passing with 11 touchdowns and finished second with 93.8 passer rating.
• Completed 15-of-20 passes for 192 yards and two touchdowns at Minnesota (9-14).
• Threw for a CAREER-HIGH four touchdowns vs. Miami (9-21) and was 18-of-24 for a season-high 248 yards.
• Had three touchdowns at Indianapolis (11-2) and added two touchdowns the following week at Atlanta on (11-9).
• Was 13-of-26 for 181 yards, one touchdown and one interception in first career playoff start vs. Detroit (12-28) in 20-10 win.
• Started at Green Bay (1-4-98) and was 11-of-36 for 200 yards and two interceptions in a 21-7 loss.
1996: (With Tampa Bay)
• Started all 16 games and threw for a CAREER-HIGH 2,859 yards, while completing 267-of-482 passes, 12 touchdowns and 19 interceptions.
• Had season-high three touchdowns vs. Minnesota (10-13).
• Was 20-of-29 for 192 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception vs. Oakland (11-10).
• Threw for 327 yards at San Diego (11-17), while completing a personal-best 30 passes, one shy of team mark held by Vinnny Testaverde.
1995: (With Tampa Bay)
• In second season, moved into the starting position and started all 16 games.
• Completed 224-of-415 passes for 2,774 yards, four touchdowns and 18 interceptions. Also rushed for two touchdowns.
• Broke Doug Williams’ 1982 TEAM RECORD by throwing 138 consecutive passes without an interception (later broke that record in 1997).
• Opened season with two touchdown passes at Philadelphia (9-3).
• Threw for season-high 255 yards at Cleveland (9-10).
• Ran for first NFL touchdown run on a 21-yard jaunt at Houston (10-29).
• Threw for FIRST CAREER 300-YARD GAME with 312 yards at Green Bay (11-26) while completing 27-of-48 passes.
1994: (With Tampa Bay)
• Started two games and played in five contests rookie season with Tampa Bay.
• Completed 38-of-82 passes for 433 yards with one touchdown and six interceptions.
• Made FIRST NFL START at San Francisco (10-23). Completed 7-of-23 passes for 45 yards and one interception.
• Recorded first career touchdown pass vs. Minnesota (10-3).
• Made second start vs. Chicago (11-6). Completed 13-of 25 passes for 159 yards.
COLLEGE:
• Finished Fresno State career with a 20-9 record in three seasons, as the Bulldogs won or shared conference title in all three seasons.
• Finished collegiate career with 6,944 yards passing, 51 touchdowns and 21 interceptions, while completing 461-of-774 passes. Also rushed 140 times for 195 yards and eight touchdowns.
• In two bowl games, was 50-of-91 for 687 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception.
• Earned Associated Press and Football News third-team All-America honors.
• Was first-team All-Western Athletic choice and was the conference’s Offensive Player of the Year as a junior (1993).
• Completed 217-of-333 passes for 3,276 yards (a school record), with 28 touchdowns and four interceptions. Led the nation with a 173.1 passing efficiency, the third-highest in NCAA history at the time (behind Jim McMahon’s 176.9 in 1980 and Ty Detmer’s 175.6 in 1989). Set an NCAA mark by throwing 271 consecutive passes without an interception, snapping Matt Blundin’s (Virginia) old mark of 224, set in 1991.
• Was 175-of-332 for 2,836 yards with 21 touchdowns and 14 interceptions as a sophomore in 1992. Became just third WAC quarterback to earn All-America honors (joining McMahon in 1978 and Detmer in 1989). His 136.9 passing efficiency was ninth in the nation.
• Started final four games as a freshman in 1991 and was 69-of-109 for 832 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions. Rushed for five touchdowns.
• Redshirted in 1990.
PERSONAL:
• Born Trent Dilfer (3-13-72) in Aptos, CA.
• Lettered in football, golf, basketball, and baseball at Aptos (CA) High School in Santa Cruz County. Played quarterback, safety and punter.
• Two-time all-conference choice in both football and basketball.
• Voted Player of the Year in basketball as a senior.
• Graduated with a 3.9 GPA.
• A scratch golfer, has won three offseason celebrity tournaments.
• Wife, Cassandra, is a former Fresno State swimmer.
• Parents of four children, daughters Madeleine, Victoria, Delaney and son Trevin. Trevin went home to be with the Lord on April 27, 2003.
• His family has established the TD 4 HIM Foundation, in memory of Trevin, to raise financial assistance for parachurch ministries and various youth programs.
• Named the 49ers 2006 Walter Payton Man of the Year. The prestigious award recognizes a player for his community service activities as well as his play on the field. Dilfer has been recognized for his numerous contributions to the community and also established the TD4HIM Foundation which contributes and supports the growth of community organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs, cancer research groups and religious organizations.
