Pittsburgh Steamrolls the 49ers, 37-16

The game pretty much went the way I predicted it, Pittsburgh is just a different team this year- better. Willie Parker is running on all cylinders and their offense is just so superior to others. I thought because Big Ben and Parker usually fumble that San Francisco would have a shot. When the 49ers scored the first points, I thought, “hey maybe they have a chance with a great opening drive” but my hopes were dashed when Allen Rossum returned a kickoff for a TD.

Alex Smith was slightly more impressive with not only his most yard thrown in a game but also his first passing TD of the season. Frank Gore was very disappointing but he’ll have another shot at a good rushing game this season. I can’t say that I am disappointed but I thought San Francisco could overcome the Steelers- but they’ll take this loss as a learning experience. With the sloppy play of the Seahawks, chances are good we could beat them next week to take control of the NFC West.
