Nolan Goes Retro for Home Games

San Francisco 49ers head coach Mike Nolan came away with an important victory, not on the field, but for the right to wear a suit. In the day and age of coaches becoming advertising attractions, it is great to see Nolan wants to dress up in a traditional suit but of course there is one stipulation- it is made by Reebok. His sense of style even garnered him No. 11 on Esquire’s Best Dressed list for 2007. He said,“I did it primarily because of my dad,” Nolan has said many times. “But also out of respect for the league and the organization and guys who have done it in the past. Had he not worn a suit, I might have had a different outlook on it.”

He has permission to wear a suit to all eight home games and who knows, maybe it will bring an old spark back to this team- just like the good, old days of 49ers glory.
