Joe Staley has won the coveted job of starting right-tackle over the very inconsistent Kwame Harris. It was a tight race between them but Staley’s consistency won out in the end for Head Coach Mike Nolan. This position was earned and he was fairly warned by Nolan not to screw this up and that makes him the second draft pick to earn a starting position, in addition to Patrick Willis.
