  • On the heels of the news that Patrick Willis has made the linebackers corps and will eventually get to start, now comes news that Joe Staley, OT and No. 28 in the NFL Draft, will start at RT any day now. Some even say that he was the best OT in the draft but just came from a smaller school and thus looked unappealing. Many in the NFL even attest to say that over time he will be more superior to Levi Brown and Joe Thomas, who both went in the Top 5 in the past draft. Here’s an interesting tidbit, the pick for Staley was acquired by the New England Patriots and the last time the 49ers acquired a first round draft pick from the Patriots, it was in 1985 for Mississippi Valley St. wide receiver Jerry Rice.
