Tough WR Battle Ahead

This year the 49ers have a tough decision to make of which 5 to 6 out of a possible 10 with so much talent that it would be a crime to cut them. The possible starters are: C.J. Brewer, Dominique Ziegler, Ashley Lelie, Jason Hill, Taylor Jacobs, Darrell Jackson, Bryan Gilmore, Brandon Williams, Marcus Maxwell, and Arnaz Battle. D-Jack and Battle seem like locks, but the remaining 3 or 4 are a mystery.

Let’s predict who will make the cut, alright I already named D-Jack and Battle, then Jason Hill because he is a rookie-so give him a chance. Next, how about Taylor Jacobs, who is showing some promise since S.F. acquired him last year in a trade with the ‘Skins.

Okay, I’ve named 4 already so let’s say two more will make the cut, Brandon Williams is a great special teams player and he can catch so add him and the last person to make the cut is…drum roll, please, Marcus Maxwell. Many may be wondering why I didn’t pick the seasoned Ashley Lelie, well one thing- he’s very difficult and another is that he is not a great receiver. Marcus Maxwell will prove his mettle this year due to his great year in NFL Europe- I know that may not be a precursor but his chances are better than Lelie’s at this moment. Whether those, I have named, make it or not is entirely up to Mike Nolan- so who know’s who can make the cut afterall?
